Welcome to Golden Friendships

Golden Friendships is a charity which promotes social inclusion in Clydebank by organising entertainment, events and fun activities for everyone.

Social inclusion is the process of improving the terms on which individuals and groups take part in society - improving the ability, opportunity, and dignity of those disadvantaged in our communities.

Golden Friendships caters for everyone

Hundreds of people walk through the doors of Golden Friendships each week. Everyone is welcome – no matter who they are. Golden Friendships caters for youngsters, those with additional support needs (ASN), those with disabilities, older people, and those who are experiencing loneliness.

Introducing Red Ramp Events

  • Red Ramp Events are specifically for wheelchair users
  • Something for everyone including tribute nights, party nights and theatre shows
  • The community hall has been completely renovated for wheelchair users
  • Wheelchair ramps at front and rear entrances
  • 5 accessible toilets
  • A changing places toilet with height adjustable sink, hoist and shower
  • Our bar has been lowered at one end for wheelchair users
  • The whole building has no steps and inside is all on one level
  • We can host up to 50 wheelchair users and their companions
